Responsibilities:
- Enter patient demographics and medical billing data accurately into practice management systems
- Perform comprehensive data entry tasks related to medical billing and patient records
- Follow up on accounts receivable and outstanding billing matters to ensure timely collections
- Complete administrative tasks and follow-up activities as assigned by the practice owner
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance in all patient data handling and communications
- Support billing processes for multiple healthcare clients served by the practice
- Communicate directly with the practice owner regarding task priorities and updates
- Manage and organize patient information to support efficient practice operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in medical billing and data entry
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and medical industry practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks without constant supervision
- Reliable internet connection and comfortable working remotely
- Bonus if you have experience with practice management software
- It helps if you have accounts receivable or collections experience in healthcare settings
