Job Description:
We are seeking a highly capable and detail-driven Senior Accountant to be a cornerstone of our financial operations. This role goes beyond traditional accounting—managing core accounting functions, ensuring precision in financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end closes, while also assisting with regulatory and tax compliance.

Responsibilities:
General Accounting & Reconciliations
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly recorded
- Conduct intercompany (interco) reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Manage and maintain accounting schedules, including adding and expiring entries
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Oversee accounts receivable management
- Monitor outstanding balances and perform past due follow-ups
- Coordinate with invoicing teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of receivables
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Post accounts payable transactions (approximately 50 transactions per month)
- Verify and record vendor invoices accurately
- Support AP-related queries and ensure proper documentation
Accruals & Prepayments
- Manage prepaid expenses and ensure proper amortization
- Record and maintain accrued liabilities
- Maintain schedules for fixed and prepaid assets
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and file sales tax (GST) returns
- Calculate and report employer health tax
- Assist with monthly corporate tax installments
- Support various regulatory filings as required
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in financial statement preparation
- Support presentation of financial data to leadership
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Ad Hoc & CFO Support
- Respond to ad hoc financial and analytical requests from the CFO
- Assist in special projects, audits, and financial analysis as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles and practices
- Proven experience in a full-cycle accounting or senior accounting role
- Experience with reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Familiarity with tax filings (GST, corporate tax, employer taxes)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with multi-entity or intercompany accounting
- Exposure to CFO-level reporting and financial presentations
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Prior experience in a recruitment, service-based, or tech industry
