Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Senior Accountant to join our team. This role focuses on account reconciliation and transaction categorization, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity across all records. The ideal candidate has strong experience in high-volume reconciliations, thrives in structured environments, and is highly proficient in QuickBooks.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time
• 1-hour unpaid break

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring all balances are accurate and supported
• Categorize and review financial transactions in QuickBooks with a high degree of accuracy
• Maintain clean and organized financial records for reporting and audit readiness
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Collaborate with internal teams to clarify transaction details and ensure proper coding
• Monitor and improve reconciliation processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Prepare financial reports and summaries as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with account reconciliation
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle large volumes of transactions with accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• Experience in the healthcare industry (nice to have)

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
