MYOB Bookkeeper | Operations Support

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive MYOB Bookkeeper | Operations Support to manage financial records and provide administrative support. The primary focus of this role is high-level bookkeeping using MYOB, complemented by project coordination and general administrative tasks within a specialized consultancy environment.

Schedule

  • 6 hours a day, Monday to Friday, AEST

Responsibilities

  • Handle bookkeeping tasks in MYOB, including purchase entry and allocation to correct accounts
  • Prepare invoices for deposits and balances, send them out, and follow up on payments
  • Perform reconciliation work and prepare BAS statements (with oversight initially)
  • Create and set up new projects in the project management system when acceptance forms are received
  • Assign projects to consultants and coordinate project workflows using templates
  • Liaise with clients to gather required information and support the consultant's needs
  • Manage filing systems by organizing emails and correspondence into appropriate project folders
  • Set up job folders and allocate hours for reports and out-of-office activities
  • Provide general administrative support to the consulting team as needed

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Strong experience with MYOB accounting software (essential)
  • Virtual assistant and administrative support experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal training required
  • Strong communication skills for client liaison work
  • Experience with project management systems (Asana preferred)
  • Proficiency with Google Drive and file management systems
