In this role, you will be the driving force behind building, optimizing, and maintaining robust eCommerce websites. Job Responsibilities
WordPress & WooCommerce Development
- Build, customize, and maintain high-performance WordPress websites
- Develop and optimize WooCommerce shopping carts
- Troubleshoot plugin/theme conflicts and site issues
- Implement technical SEO best practices on builds
- Manage hosting, migrations, staging environments, and site speed optimization
- Ensure sites are secure, fast, and conversion-focused
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Technical Skills
- 3+ years of proven experience in WordPress development, with a strong, specific focus on WooCommerce.
- Core Languages: Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
- WordPress Architecture: Deep understanding of the WordPress core, custom post types, custom taxonomies, and custom theme/plugin development or modification.
- Performance & Security: Hands-on experience with site speed optimization (Core Web Vitals, caching solutions like WP Rocket/Redis) and implementing WP security best practices.
- Infrastructure: Comfort managing hosting environments (e.g., WP Engine, Kinsta, cPanel), handling complex server migrations, and managing staging/production workflows.
- SEO Knowledge: Solid grasp of technical SEO principles and how site architecture and code impact search engine rankings.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git or other version control systems is highly preferred.
