Project Manager

Job Overview:
Responsible for managing multiple large strategic operational projects from initiation to delivery. This includes defining project scope, assigning responsibilities, organizing project teams, setting deadlines, tracking expenses, and ensuring timely project completion. Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time, with 1-hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

Primary Tasks:

  • Lead planning and implementation of company-wide project initiatives
  • Define scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors related to assigned projects
  • Facilitate change management via training packages and company-wide trainings
  • Lead clinic implementation projects, including assimilating acquired clinics, opening new clinics, and relocating existing clinics
  • Monitor and report on project progress, challenges, and milestones to executive leadership, board of directors, and stakeholders
  • Manage project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary
  • Evaluate project outcomes and lessons learned to improve future project management processes
  • Utilize project management tools and concepts
  • Promote and practice CAN Community Health, Inc. mission, values, and policies
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and organizational data

Secondary Tasks:

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Serve as a liaison with management team members to ensure smooth organizational flow

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Research skills using primary sources (CMS, HRSA, AHCA)
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong people skills, commitment to teamwork, productivity, and quality delivery
  • Comfortable working in a diverse environment with changing priorities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare and/or business recommended
  • Six Sigma Certification – Green Belt preferred/required after 12 months
  • Project Management Professional Certification preferred/required after 12 months

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Hours: 8am to 5:30pm Monday through Thursday, 8:30am to 12:30pm on Friday, Eastern Time. Keep in mind that Daylight Savings Time goes into effect this coming Sunday, March 8th, where clocks in the U.S. will move ahead one hour, so we will be on Eastern Daylight Time for the next 6 months.
