Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Mid-Level AI Operations Assistant to support AI agent prompting, workflow automation, and data pipeline tasks. The role involves working within existing systems, following documented SOPs, and gradually taking on more autonomous responsibilities as familiarity with the tech stack grows.
Client Overview
The client operates a technology-focused environment leveraging AI tools, automation platforms, and cloud infrastructure to streamline operations and build scalable AI-driven workflows.
Schedule
- 4 hours per day (approx. 20 hours/week)
- Expected volume: 15–25 hours per week initially, with potential to grow
- Work window: Anytime between 3:00 PM – 8:00 AM Chicago CST
- Primarily asynchronous work outside US Central Time business hours

Responsibilities
- Write, test, and refine prompts for Claude and OpenAI tools
- Run AI agent sessions following SOPs and review outputs for accuracy
- Build and maintain automation workflows using n8n
- Integrate workflows with APIs, webhooks, and external systems
- Build and maintain web scrapers using Playwright or Puppeteer
- Transform scraped data into structured formats (JSON, CSV, databases)
- Monitor automation workflows and troubleshoot failures
- Document prompt strategies, workflow logic, and improvements
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar)
- Experience with automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier; n8n preferred)
- Working knowledge of web scraping tools
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and webhook integrations
- Experience using Git/GitHub for version control
- Strong written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and asynchronously
Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Railway or similar cloud hosting platforms
- Basic Python or JavaScript/TypeScript skills
- Familiarity with knowledge management tools (Obsidian, Notion)
- Experience with AI integration frameworks or data pipelines

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
