Marketing Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist to take ownership of campaigns, content creation, and brand initiatives. This role will primarily focus on email marketing, social media management, and graphic design/branding, while also supporting website updates, events, and other marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong marketing experience who can execute campaigns independently and contribute creative ideas to strengthen the company’s brand presence.

Schedule
Monday - Friday, 0:00 AM/PM - 0:00 AM/PM [EST], with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

Email Marketing

  • Build, draft, and manage email campaigns such as newsletters, announcements, and business updates using Mailchimp
  • Track and report on campaign performance and recommend improvements
  • Maintain and segment email lists when needed
  • Collaborate with leadership on campaign planning and messaging

Social Media

  • Create and post engaging content on LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant platforms
  • Monitor engagement, analyze metrics, and recommend improvements
  • Help shape and maintain the company’s social media presence and brand voice

Graphic Design & Branding

  • Design marketing materials including brochures, flyers, presentations, and digital assets using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ensure consistent branding across all materials and marketing channels

Additional Marketing Support

  • Assist with website updates using WordPress
  • Support marketing activities related to events, recruiting campaigns, and other projects
  • Create case studies, project spotlights, and assist with light copywriting
  • Collaborate with leadership on new marketing ideas and initiatives

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital media
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp preferred)
  • Familiarity with social media management, particularly LinkedIn
  • Basic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with website management (WordPress preferred)
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong organization and project management abilities
  • Ability to follow instructions and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Ability to develop and execute marketing strategies and initiatives

Qualifications (if available)

  • Experience working in AEC or professional services industries
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize marketing campaigns
  • Experience coordinating multiple marketing projects simultaneously

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
