Job Overview
Our client is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to play a key role in generating and qualifying new business opportunities by engaging mortgage brokers, financial intermediaries, developers, and small-to-medium businesses. You will act as the first point of contact for inbound and outbound enquiries, uncover client needs, and collaborate closely with the credit and sales team to move deals through the pipeline. This role is ideal for someone proactive, energetic, and interested in building a career in private lending.

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sydney Time, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Prospect and qualify new broker and borrower leads through proactive outreach.
- Enquiry Management: Manage inbound enquiries and gather essential lending information to assess deal viability.
- Outreach: Conduct outbound calls, emails, and consistent follow-ups to build and maintain a healthy pipeline.
- CRM Administration: Maintain high CRM accuracy and track all pipeline activity for the sales team.
- Sales Support: Support Business Development Managers (BDMs) and the credit team with deal flow and documentation.
- Industry Engagement: Attend industry events when required to represent the brand and network with referral partners.
Requirements
- Experience: 1–3+ years in financial sales, business development, or lead generation.
- Comfortable speaking about numbers and interest rates
- Enjoys the challenge of turning leads into closed deals, very assertive.
- A genuine interest in finance, lending, or mortgage broking.
Qualifications
- Experience in private lending, broking, or commercial finance is highly preferred.
- Possession of an existing broker network is a significant advantage.

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
