Job Description: You’ll become the right-hand estimating expert for a successful Australian construction company experiencing tremendous growth. This role puts you at the center of diverse, interesting projects where your estimating skills directly impact business success. You’ll work closely with the Director of Building Services, taking ownership of the entire estimating process from takeoffs to client presentations, while helping streamline operations for a company that’s scaling rapidly.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from construction and landscaping plans using Bluebeam and other industry software
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation across multiple project types
• Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and project details
• Prepare comprehensive estimates and professional proposals for client presentation
• Support project scoping through photo analysis and measurement interpretation when detailed plans aren’t available
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously across landscape maintenance, construction, and building renovation projects
• Collaborate directly with the Director and projects coordinator to ensure seamless project flow
• Handle diverse project types including tree planning, vegetation work, and general building maintenance
• Deliver estimates that support $600-700K monthly revenue operations

Requirements:

• Proven experience in construction or landscape estimating with strong takeoff skills
• Proficiency reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings
• Advanced skills in Bluebeam or similar takeoff software
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors and obtaining competitive pricing
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in quantity calculations
• Excellent communication skills for client-facing estimate presentations
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
• Bonus if you have quantity surveying credentials or formal estimating qualifications
• It helps if you have experience with landscape or renovation projects specifically
