Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and managing the company’s accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments, and maintaining good relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to work independently, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review all incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Verify and match purchase orders with invoices and receipts to ensure correct payment amounts.
- Prepare and process weekly or bi-weekly payments to vendors.
- Assist in the preparation of accounts payable reports, statements, and schedules.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices and vendor payments in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions, ensuring they are readily accessible for audits and internal reviews.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any outstanding balances.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
- Maintain good relationships with vendors and respond to inquiries regarding payment status.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
