Job Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Mid-level Video Editor to oversee and manage the video content pipeline across multiple professional services clients. This role focuses on translating raw footage into high-quality, engaging content across digital channels, including Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of using AI tools to enhance editing efficiency while ensuring all content aligns with established brand tone and style guidelines.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sydney Time, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Video Analysis: Review and analyze raw video content and footage to identify the best segments for production.
  • Core Editing: Edit videos by making necessary cuts, removing mistakes and pauses, and ensuring a seamless flow.
  • Short-Form Optimization: Create short-form video content specifically optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
  • AI Integration: Utilize AI tools to enhance editing efficiency and overall production quality.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all content aligns with established brand tone and style guidelines across various client projects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the team to maintain consistent quality and meet project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Experience: Mid-level experience in video editing (minimum 3+ years preferred; not a junior-level role).
  • Software Proficiency: Expert proficiency in CapCut and Final Cut Pro.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with AI editing tools and modern digital workflows.
  • Platform Knowledge: Strong understanding of social media video formats and best practices for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail Oriented: Excellent attention to detail regarding brand consistency and quality control.

Side Note

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
