Insurance & Party Rental Customer Service Representative

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time (Chicago timezone) - Full-time 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound sales leads and customer inquiries for both insurance products (auto and home) and party rental services (chairs, tables, tents, canopies, and other event equipment).
  • Collect detailed customer information and input data accurately into CRM systems, insurance software, or company databases.
  • Conduct outbound calls to generate new client prospects and additional rental business.
  • Process rental orders from website inquiries and generate/send quotes via email.
  • Operate policy management software to update, cancel, or manage existing insurance policies.
  • Complete insurance forms and quotes within time-sensitive windows (e.g., 10-minute response for live transfer leads).
  • Merge or transfer calls to licensed insurance agents when customers are ready to purchase policies.
  • Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets or other tracking systems for customer records, orders, and leads.
  • Communicate order or policy details to relevant team members (e.g., on-site office managers, fulfillment staff, or licensed agents).
  • Support business growth through proactive customer outreach and lead qualification.

Requirements:

  • Sales experience, preferably in insurance or service-based industries.
  • Customer service experience with phone-based interactions and email communication.
  • Knowledge of US insurance products, coverage types, and industry practices.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple orders, leads, and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under time pressure.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, insurance software, Excel, and website management.
  • Excellent communication skills for inbound and outbound calls.
  • Attention to detail for accurate data entry, order processing, and lead management.

Scope:

  • Full-time role supporting both customer service and business development.
  • Handle diverse customer interactions, from policy inquiries to event rental orders.
  • Coordinate between remote operations, on-site fulfillment teams, and licensed insurance agents.
  • Contribute directly to company growth through sales, order fulfillment, and lead generation.

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
