Production Scheduler

Role Summary

The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning and managing production schedules to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate completion of manufacturing processes. This role coordinates with production, procurement, and inventory teams, monitors progress, resolves scheduling issues, and identifies process improvements to optimize operations.

Schedule:

  • 40hrs per week; 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM with 1 hour unpaid break in between

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource use
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and inventory teams to ensure materials and resources are available for production
  • Track the progress of production orders and adjust schedules as necessary
  • Identify and resolve issues that may cause production delays to keep schedules on track
  • Enter and maintain accurate production data in company database systems
  • Generate reports on production status, issues, and performance metrics
  • Identify and implement improvements in the production scheduling process
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of direct or cumulative work experience may substitute for formal education
  • Familiarity with production scheduling software and tools

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Professional Skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
