Job Description: You’ll step into a critical role where you’ll own the financial operations for a growing property management company. This position offers the perfect blend of immediate impact—clearing an existing backlog—and long-term ownership of streamlined financial processes. You’ll work directly with the business owners, have full autonomy over your workflow, and play a key role in supporting the company’s continued growth.
Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of invoicing processes for 100+ managed properties
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly statements for all properties and clients
- Clear existing backlog of financial records and bring accounts current
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure ongoing tax compliance
- Adapt financial reporting to meet individual client requirements using various spreadsheet formats
- Maintain up-to-date financial records on weekly and monthly cycles
- Handle accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding client payments
- Provide comprehensive bookkeeping support for property management operations
- Communicate directly with business owners via WhatsApp and email for quick queries
- Support with inventory reports, that includes checking a report for errors, making sure the report is compliant and uploading the report to dropbox. Some basic knowledge of the property market is great for this task, but training will be provided.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience with strong UK accounting knowledge
- Expert-level proficiency with spreadsheets and ability to adapt to different client formats
- Solid experience with VAT returns and UK tax compliance requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of processes
- Strong communication skills for direct client and business owner interaction
- Bonus if you have experience in property management or service-based industries
- It helps if you’re comfortable with fast-paced environments and clearing backlogs
