Sales Development & Data Operations Associate - Financial Services

Job Description:

You will support the company’s growth across the APAC financial services sector through a hybrid role combining sales development and data operations.

Approximately 70% of the role focuses on sales development, where you will research financial institutions, conduct outbound prospecting, and help generate qualified leads with banks, fintech companies, and ecosystem partners across the region.

The remaining 30% focuses on data operations and quality assurance, where you will help validate merchant data and support internal teams working on transaction intelligence and financial data solutions. You will be trained on the company's processes for this.

A fast-growing financial technology company with global operations is expanding its presence across the Asia-Pacific region. The organization works with banks, fintech platforms, and financial institutions to deliver data-driven solutions that improve transaction intelligence and customer experiences. As the company continues to scale in APAC, it is building a regional team focused on both sales development and data operations to support market expansion.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, flexible hours aligned with APAC business hours (Singapore time, 40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development & Market Outreach (≈70%)
    • Conduct daily outbound prospecting targeting banks, fintech companies, and financial ecosystem partners across APAC
    • Research and identify relevant decision-makers within target financial institutions
    • Develop personalized LinkedIn and email outreach campaigns to generate qualified leads
    • Book meetings and support early-stage sales qualification processes
    • Prepare meeting agendas and coordinate calendar scheduling with key stakeholders
    • Maintain accurate CRM records and update pipeline activity regularly
    • Assist with pre-event and post-event outreach around industry conferences and meetings
    • Support regional sales leadership in expanding the pipeline across Southeast Asia
  • Data Operations & Quality Assurance (≈30%)
    • Research and validate merchant data within internal systems and tools
    • Support the development and improvement of the company’s proprietary merchant database
    • Contribute to increasing merchant data coverage across the APAC region, with a focus on the Philippines
    • Assist internal teams with data validation and quality assurance processes
    • Maintain strong data hygiene, merchant categorization, and consistent naming standards
    • Collaborate with internal data and project delivery teams to support new deployments in the region

Travel & Events:

  • Occasional travel may be required to support regional activities.
  • Travel to Singapore for up to several days per quarter for meetings and industry events
  • Potential travel within the Philippines for customer meetings when necessary

Requirements:

  • Experience in sales development, lead generation, research, or business development roles
  • Strong interest in financial services, fintech, or data-driven technology businesses
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • Strong research and prospecting abilities using LinkedIn and other online tools
  • Close attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Experience in maintaining CRM systems and tracking outreach activities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organized workflows

Highly-Regarded Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of the APAC financial services or fintech ecosystem
  • Understanding of banks, digital banks, fintechs, or crypto platforms
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Copper or similar tools
  • Experience working with data validation, data operations, or QA processes
  • Familiarity with the Philippines market and business landscape
