Job Title: Social Media Specialist (Part-Time)

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and resourceful Part-Time Social Media Specialist to help us breathe new life into our existing content. Your primary goal will be to dig through our archive of old content and recordings, find the best moments, and repurpose them into fresh, engaging assets for Instagram. If you have an eye for a great hook, love writing reel scripts, and know your way around Canva and AI tools, we’d love to work with you!

Position Type: Part-Time Platform Focus: Primarily Instagram

Schedule: 10 hours / week. Flexible schedule within Eastern Time zone Business hours (9am - 6pm)

Responsibilities

  • Content Repurposing: Sift through archives of old videos, recordings, and written content to identify "golden nuggets" that can be turned into new posts.
  • Instagram Strategy & Creation: Transform repurposed content specifically for Instagram (Reels, Stories, and Grid posts).
  • Scriptwriting: Draft engaging, fast-paced, and highly relatable scripts for Instagram Reels.
  • AI Integration: Leverage AI tools to brainstorm, refine, and optimize catchy hooks and engaging captions.
  • Graphic Design: Use Canva to design visual assets. You will work with a few of our existing templates but should also have the design sense to modify them and create new graphics as needed.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all new and repurposed content perfectly aligns with our brand voice and visual identity.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Social Media Experience: Proven experience creating and managing content for Instagram, with a strong understanding of current trends, formats, and algorithms.
  • Content Eye: A strong ability to review long-form or older content and quickly identify what will work well as a short-form, engaging piece.
  • Design Skills: Solid experience using Canva for graphic design, including working with brand kits and templates.
  • Copywriting Chops: Excellent writing skills with a specific talent for crafting attention-grabbing hooks, concise Reel scripts, and compelling captions.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using AI platforms to enhance and speed up the content creation process.
  • Work Ethic: Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing deadlines in a part-time capacity.

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
