Role Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and technically capable Operations Support Engineer to oversee the stability of our AI-driven email processing pipeline. You will act as the first line of defense when automated processes fail. This is not a development role; it is a critical operational & debugging role where response time, accuracy, and data integrity are paramount.

The ideal candidate is someone who treats data with extreme seriousness, understands the structure of APIs, and is willing to put in the hours required to keep our system running smoothly without interruption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Real-time Monitoring: Actively monitor Slack channels for automated alert notifications regarding failed AI processing jobs.
• Root Cause Analysis: Immediately investigate the error logs provided in the alerts to understand why the specific email or data packet failed.
• Data Remediation (JSON): Manually analyze and manipulate complex JSON data payloads to correct formatting errors, missing fields, or data anomalies that caused the AI failure.
• Execution & Validation: Use API to manually re-run the corrected data payloads, ensuring the process completes successfully.
• Reporting: Log recurrent issues to the engineering team to help improve long-term system stability.
  

Technical Requirements:

• API Proficiency: Strong familiarity with RESTful APIs, specifically using API and Swagger UI interfaces.
• Data Handling: Expert-level comfort with JSON. You must be able to read, edit, and validate JSON structures quickly without syntax errors.
• Debugging Logic: Ability to read error logs and trace the data flow to pinpoint where the process broke.
• Tools: Proficiency with Slack for communication and alerts.

• This role requires a high level of seriousness. We process critical customer data, and negligence is not an option.
• Uncompromising Integrity: You will be handling sensitive data. Privacy, accuracy, and honesty are non-negotiable.
• Attention to Detail: A misplaced comma in a JSON file or a wrong value can break the pipeline again. You must be meticulous.
• Reliability: When an alert triggers, you are expected to respond. "Ghosting" or being unavailable during your shift is unacceptable.
• Resilience: This involves repetitive debugging tasks. You must maintain focus and high standards of quality even during routine work.

Schedule & Commitment

• Flexibility: Occasional overtime may be required during high-volume periods or critical incidents.
• Commitment: We are looking for long-term consistency. This schedule is demanding, and we need someone fully prepared to meet these hours.

• This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
