Job Overview

You’ll join a creative team that values storytelling expertise and collaborative innovation. Using cutting-edge cloud-based editing tools, you’ll craft compelling narratives from raw footage while working directly with creative directors who understand the art of visual storytelling. This role offers the perfect blend of commercial polish and creative freedom, with opportunities to contribute to meaningful community projects including mentoring programs for emerging creatives and church communities.

Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible during business hours

Responsibilities:

  • Edit commercial and advertising video content following established creative briefs and storyboards
  • Create compelling case study videos by selecting the best footage and crafting cohesive narratives from extensive raw material
  • Edit event videos, identifying key moments and weaving them into engaging stories that capture the essence of each occasion
  • Produce social media content across multiple accounts for various creative projects and business verticals
  • Collaborate remotely using DaVinci Resolve cloud functionality for seamless file sharing and real-time creative collaboration
  • Work with B-roll footage and interview content to create polished, professional final products
  • Update and maintain Squarespace websites with fresh portfolio content and project showcases
  • Support diverse creative projects including mentoring programs and music promotion content
  • Manage multiple project types simultaneously while maintaining consistent quality and meeting deadlines
  • Communicate directly with creative directors for feedback and revisions in a collaborative workflow

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating narrative storytelling skills
  • Expert proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, including cloud collaboration features and workflow management
  • Proven experience with event video editing and the ability to identify compelling moments from large amounts of raw footage
  • Strong creative eye for selecting and sequencing footage to create engaging narratives
  • Experience with social media content creation, formatting, and platform-specific optimization
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and professional editing setup
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with remote team members
  • Bonus if you have Squarespace website management and content updating experience
  • It helps if you’re comfortable working across different time zones and flexible scheduling arrangements

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
