Job Overview

Our client is seeking an assistant for a remote position to support restaurant operations. The role focuses primarily on bookkeeping, financial reconciliation, administrative tasks, and operational reporting. The successful candidate will work flexible hours aligned with Australian business hours, with Tuesdays off.

Client Overview

The client operates a restaurant business in Queensland, Australia, managing a team of approximately 34-35 staff members. The business operates seven days a week and requires backend administrative and bookkeeping support to manage daily operations and financial reconciliation.

Schedule

  • Monday - Saturday, Tuesdays Off (20 work hours per week)

    Note: Hours are flexible but must remain aligned with Australian Eastern Standard Time.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and reconcile financial transactions and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
  • Manage calendar scheduling for interviews, meetings, and business appointments.
  • Prepare and organize travel itineraries and assist with booking business travel arrangements.
  • Generate KPI reports analyzing key metrics including cost of goods, income, and other operational percentages.
  • Provide administrative support for general business operations and scheduling needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in bookkeeping and administrative support roles.
  • Proficiency with Xero accounting software for financial management and reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to generate reports and analyze business metrics.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with restaurant or hospitality industry clients (Preferred).
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and content scheduling platforms (Preferred).

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
