Schedule
Full-Time: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM PST, with 30-minute unpaid break

Responsibilities
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Order Management
- Process and coordinate DME orders in accordance with medical and insurance guidelines
- Ensure orders are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations
- Maintain an organized system for tracking order status and inventory levels
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to confirm product availability and delivery timelines
Phone Support
- Answer inbound calls from patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers
- Provide timely and accurate information regarding product availability, order status, and insurance verification
- Schedule appointments or equipment deliveries, ensuring proper coordination
Follow-up and Documentation
- Track and follow up on outstanding orders to ensure timely patient delivery
- Document all interactions, including patient inquiries, order updates, and supplier communications
- Follow up with patients to confirm equipment functionality and satisfaction
Insurance and Billing Support
- Assist with verifying insurance information and coordinate with billing departments
- Work with insurance companies to resolve order approval or payment issues
General Administrative Support
- Maintain and update patient records related to DME orders and follow-ups
- Assist with scheduling, filing, and correspondence as needed
Requirements
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Experience with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or insurance billing is a plus
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, patient management software)
- Ability to manage sensitive patient information with discretion and confidentiality
- Spanish-speaking strongly preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical office or healthcare-related certification (e.g., Medical Assistant, Billing & Coding) is a plus
