Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition: Lead all recruiting activities, including crafting compelling job postings and conducting initial candidate screenings.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee communications, conflict resolution, and general inquiries.
  • Credentialing & Compliance: Manage employee credentialing processes within specialized compliance systems to meet state regulatory mandates.
  • SOP Development: Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both HR workflows and industry-specific compliance requirements.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire employee onboarding journey, ensuring all background checks and credentials are completed prior to start dates.
  • Sensitive Communications: Manage confidential employee matters, including compensation changes, performance interventions, and offboarding or layoffs.
  • Payroll Support: Handle compensation-related communications and assist with payroll-related employee queries.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in core HR functions, specifically recruiting and employee relations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for navigating sensitive employee interactions.
  • Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to learn and navigate complex regulatory compliance and credentialing software.
  • Experience creating SOPs and maintaining high documentation standards.
  • Absolute commitment to handling sensitive employee information with complete confidentiality.
  • Willingness to master the specific medical cannabis industry compliance landscape.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with North American clients (Highly Regarded).
  • Background in highly regulated industry environments (e.g., Healthcare, Finance, or Legal) (Preferred).
