Job Overview

We’re hiring a results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate qualified meetings for a premium one-day leadership training program. In this outbound role, you’ll proactively call HR leaders and senior decision-makers, assess organizational fit, and position the program’s value in terms of leadership effectiveness, team performance, and business outcomes. 

Schedule (20 hours per week):

  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Atlantic Standard Time (New Brunswick, Canada)
  • Thursday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM Atlantic Standard Time (New Brunswick, Canada)

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively make outbound calls to HR leaders, people leaders, and other qualified decision-makers using the provided dialer system.
  • Identify and engage the right-fit prospects for a premium one-day leadership training program.
  • Conduct strong first-call qualification, assessing factors such as leadership development needs, organizational fit, timing, budget, and decision-making process.
  • Clearly communicate the value of the training program in business terms, including leadership effectiveness, team performance, manager capability, and employee outcomes.
  • Book qualified discovery calls or sales meetings for the closer/sales lead with decision-makers who meet target criteria.
  • Handle common objections around price, timing, relevance, and internal buy-in with confidence and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed notes in the CRM, including call outcomes, qualification details, next steps, and stakeholder information.
  • Work closely with the sales team to improve messaging, share call insights, and ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities.
  • Continuously refine outreach approach based on feedback, call performance, and what resonates with HR and leadership audiences.

Requirements:

  • System & Tool Proficiency: * CRM/Data Management: Experience with Google Sheets for lead tracking and documentation.
    • Communication Tools: Proven experience using Dialer systems for high-volume outbound calling.
  • Strong phone presence and verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently and professionally to senior business stakeholders.
  • Experience in outbound calling, appointment setting, sales development, or inside sales, ideally in a B2B environment.
  • Ability to qualify prospects effectively rather than simply booking volume-based meetings.
  • Comfortable discussing a premium offer and positioning value in a consultative, business-focused way.
  • Experience using Google Sheets sales tools to track activity and manage follow-up.
  • Strong attention to detail and discipline in documenting calls, contact data, and next actions.
  • Resilience, persistence, and composure when handling objections and rejection.
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and consistently execute outreach activity.
  • A quiet work environment and high-quality headset/microphone for professional conversations.

Highly Regarded Skills and Experience:

  • Experience selling or booking meetings for B2B services, consulting, training, coaching, or professional services.
  • Experience speaking with HR leaders, L&D leaders, executives, or department heads.
  • Understanding of leadership development, employee performance, management training, or workplace learning topics.
  • Proven track record of generating qualified meetings from outbound calls.
  • Ability to build credibility quickly with senior decision-makers and represent a premium brand well.
  • Strong objection handling skills, especially in conversations involving budget, ROI, and competing priorities.

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
