Schedule
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead follow-up efforts for pending insurance claims to ensure timely processing and payment
  • Serve as liaison between the practice and insurance companies to resolve claim issues and reimbursement obstacles
  • Implement and maintain an organized tracking system for outstanding claims
  • Analyze claim denials or delays and develop targeted resolution strategies
  • Collaborate with the billing team to update patient accounts with accurate claim status information
  • Stay updated on insurance industry trends and policy changes
  • Contribute to improving claims management processes and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality

Requirements

  • Proven experience in insurance claims processing or medical billing (dental or healthcare setting preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of dental or medical terminology
  • Proficiency in claims-related software and ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Adaptability and willingness to take on evolving responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a dental practice environment (preferred)
  • Familiarity with insurance portals and electronic claims systems
  • Background in revenue cycle management is an advantage

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
