Responsibilities
Spearhead follow-up efforts for pending insurance claims to ensure timely processing and payment
Serve as liaison between the practice and insurance companies to resolve claim issues and reimbursement obstacles
Implement and maintain an organized tracking system for outstanding claims
Analyze claim denials or delays and develop targeted resolution strategies
Collaborate with the billing team to update patient accounts with accurate claim status information
Stay updated on insurance industry trends and policy changes
Contribute to improving claims management processes and best practices
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality
Requirements
Proven experience in insurance claims processing or medical billing (dental or healthcare setting preferred)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Knowledge of dental or medical terminology
Proficiency in claims-related software and ability to quickly learn new systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Adaptability and willingness to take on evolving responsibilities
Qualifications
Experience working in a dental practice environment (preferred)
Familiarity with insurance portals and electronic claims systems
Background in revenue cycle management is an advantage
