Customer Support Representative – Automotive & Transportation Services

Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist / Customer Support Representative to support a busy automotive body shop and transportation service operation.

This role serves as the first point of contact for customers, managing inbound calls, scheduling appointments, coordinating service needs, and ensuring a smooth customer experience from initial inquiry to service completion. Prior experience in the automotive, logistics, or transportation industry is required.

Client Overview

The client operates a fast-paced automotive body shop and transportation service business focused on delivering efficient, reliable, and high-quality service. They value professionalism, responsiveness, and strong communication to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM PST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Respond professionally to inquiries regarding auto body repairs, mechanical services, or transportation services
  • Schedule and manage service appointments using ShopMonkey
  • Confirm appointments and coordinate customer arrivals with the on-site manager
  • Send AI-based estimate links for photo submissions
  • Document estimate requests and track customer service needs
  • Maintain accurate call logs and booking records
  • Use RingCentral or similar communication tools effectively
  • Provide general administrative support as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the automotive, logistics, or transportation industry
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills
  • Experience using booking or scheduling software
  • Ability to manage high call volumes professionally
  • Comfortable learning and using systems such as ShopMonkey and RingCentral
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Professional phone etiquette and customer-focused mindset

Side Note

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
