Job Overview

This role will support insurance agents by handling routine operational tasks and administrative duties that do not require direct client sales interaction. The position involves a combination of insurance verification tasks, compliance checks, and general administrative support for the HR and operations teams. As the agency grows, this role may evolve to include lead qualification responsibilities, supporting the sales team by pre-screening inbound leads before transfer to licensed agents.

Client Overview

Our client is a growing insurance agency in the United States specializing in healthcare insurance products. They are expanding their operations team to support their agents and administrative functions as they scale their business.

Schedule:

  • Client Timezone: Monday-Friday 10am 8-5pm Eastern

Responsibilities

  • Conduct marks checks and insurance verification tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Access and verify information in systems like Sunfire, confirming alignment with Medicare numbers and carrier requirements.
  • Perform administrative tasks including outbound calls to state agencies, insurance carriers, and vendors to resolve contract issues and obtain information.
  • Support HR and operations leadership with day-to-day administrative tasks and project coordination.
  • Assist with lead qualification processes by screening inbound leads and transferring qualified prospects to sales agents.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all verification and administrative activities.
  • Communicate effectively via phone with various stakeholders including government agencies, insurance carriers, and internal team members.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience working with United States healthcare and insurance processes.
  • Strong phone communication skills with experience in client-facing or stakeholder communication roles.
  • Familiarity with Medicare systems, insurance verification processes, and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work full-time hours (35-40 hours per week) with schedule aligned to United States business hours.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Experience with lead qualification or sales support functions in the insurance industry.
  • Background in supporting startup or rapidly growing organizations where processes are still being developed.
  • Previous remote work experience with United States-based companies.
