Job Description:
You’ll become the financial backbone for a multi-business portfolio, ensuring accurate bookkeeping across diverse revenue streams. This role offers the perfect blend of stability in core bookkeeping responsibilities with genuine potential to expand into broader administrative functions as the businesses continue to scale. Client Overview:
Join a dynamic entrepreneur who operates multiple successful businesses including an environmental services company and a rental property portfolio. This growth-oriented business owner is actively expanding through acquisitions and government contracts, creating exciting opportunities for the right person to grow alongside the business.
Schedule:
- 20 hours per week, 5 days per week, morning hours EST, Monday to Friday 8am to 12pm
- Client Timezone: Eastern Time (New Jersey)

Responsibilities:
- Process and enter 10+ daily bills into QuickBooks across multiple business entities
- Perform daily reconciliation of 10 different bank accounts through QuickBooks integration
- Manage comprehensive bookkeeping for environmental services company and rental property portfolio
- Coordinate bill payment processes and prepare payments for owner approval
- Maintain accurate financial records across multiple companies with different compliance requirements
- Organize and manage financial documents through secure digital sharing platforms
- Support month-end and year-end financial processes across all business entities
- Collaborate with business owner on financial workflows and process improvements
Requirements:
- Proven experience with QuickBooks software and multi-entity bookkeeping
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume data entry
- Experience managing multiple company books simultaneously
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment during EST morning hours
- Proficiency with digital document sharing and cloud-based platforms
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and bank reconciliation processes
- Bonus if you have experience with rental property accounting or environmental industry compliance
- It helps if you’re comfortable with potential role expansion into administrative tasks
