Overview

The client is looking for a high-level Dental Insurance Verification Specialist to serve as the backbone of our patient intake and billing process. In this role, you are more than just a data entry clerk; you are a coverage expert who ensures our clinical team in Georgetown, TX, can present accurate treatment plans and our patients can maximize their benefits. If you have a deep understanding of CDT codes, PPO/Medicaid nuances, and the persistence to resolve pending claims with carriers, we want you on our team.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST (40 hours/week, 1-hour unpaid break)

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Verification: Execute full benefit breakdowns for new and returning patients, ensuring all frequencies, limitations (e.g., missing tooth clauses), and downgrades are documented.
  • System Integration: Securely access and navigate our Practice Management Systems via remote connection to input real-time eligibility updates.
  • Claims Advocacy: Proactively contact insurance carriers to follow up on pending claims, resolve denials, and clarify complex coverage issues.
  • Clinical Coordination: Communicate directly with the Texas-based office team regarding patient insurance status to ensure seamless scheduling and treatment planning.
  • Workflow Integrity: Strictly adhere to established practice guidelines and verification protocols to maintain 100% data accuracy.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous, timestamped records of all insurance interactions and verification outcomes within the patient’s digital file.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience specifically in Dental Insurance Verification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in major Dental Practice Management Software (e.g., Open Dental, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft) and remote connection tools.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of dental terminology, CDT codes, and the difference between various insurance plan types.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills for professional correspondence with carriers and the Texas-based team.

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
