Job Description:

You’ll be the operational backbone for a thriving construction business, streamlining processes that keep projects moving and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role offers the perfect blend of traditional administrative excellence and modern AI integration, giving you the opportunity to master emerging technologies while supporting real business growth. You’ll work directly with the business owner, gaining valuable industry knowledge while building systems that scale with the company’s expansion.

Schedule:

  • Part-time (20 hours per week) | Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 12 PM CT

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage Excel spreadsheets with advanced formulas for quotes, project tracking, and business operations
  • Track and manage license renewals, certifications, and compliance requirements to keep the business legally compliant
  • Complete grant applications and loan applications to support business growth initiatives
  • Manage vendor communications and request quotes to support project procurement
  • Organize invoices and financial paperwork for seamless CPA collaboration
  • Create and post engaging social media content using provided project photos and materials
  • Respond to emails from general contractors and manage critical client communications
  • Create employee work schedules and coordinate project scheduling

Requirements

  • You bring strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas and spreadsheet creation, along with excellent written communication skills for proposal writing and professional correspondence.
  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation is essential, as is a basic understanding of AI tools like ChatGPT or eagerness to learn quickly.
  • You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing licenses and certifications, plus the ability to work independently while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Bonus if you have experience in construction or contracting industries, familiarity with blueprint reading, or previous experience with project management tools.
