Client Overview:
Our client is a fast-growing real estate development startup based in Florida, specializing in building single family homes with 10-15 projects per year. They are seeking an experienced bookkeeper who can work independently and help structure their accounting department as the company scales. This role will serve as the primary point of contact with the external CPA firm and will be responsible for establishing solid processes and organizational systems for the accounting function.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Eastern Time, Miami (40 hours per week)
Must be available on WhatsApp during all business hours.

Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process payments to vendors and track payment schedules (who gets paid, when, and how much)
- Maintain and organize records in QuickBooks
- Classify and categorize expenses accurately
- Keep track of all financial transactions and payments
- Work closely with the external CPA firm as the main liaison
- Establish and implement accounting processes and organizational systems
- Manage cash flow tracking and reporting
- Provide general administrative support as needed
- Attend weekly meetings to review financial status and priorities
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience (candidates with up to 10 years experience preferred)
- Proficient in QuickBooks (this is mandatory)
- Experience in real estate and/or construction industries strongly preferred
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management
- Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills
- Highly organized and able to work independently without training
- Able to establish processes and structure for a growing accounting department
- Responsive and available on WhatsApp during working hours
- Seeking long-term commitment and stability with the company

- This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
