Digital Marketing & Content Specialist

Job Overview
You’ll take ownership of the digital content strategy for a dynamic food business that is scaling quickly. This role combines creative design work with business support, giving you the opportunity to directly impact brand growth while working alongside a hands-on entrepreneur who values high-quality creative output. You’ll transform professional food photography into engaging social media content that drives customer engagement and showcases delicious offerings across multiple restaurant concepts.
 
Client Overview
You’ll join a rapidly expanding Malaysian restaurant group that has recently opened multiple new locations. The business operates both traditional dining concepts and trendy frozen dessert brands. The owner is growth-focused, digitally savvy, and committed to elevating the brand’s social media presence to compete with established market players.
 
Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Edmondson Park, NSW (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities
  • Create compelling social media content, including posts, graphics, GIFs, and promotional materials
  • Edit professional food photography with graphic overlays and design elements aligned with competitor standards
  • Design eye-catching promotional content for new menu items, flavors, and seasonal offerings
  • Develop and maintain consistent visual branding across Instagram and other social platforms
  • Manage content calendars and posting schedules across multiple restaurant brands
  • Handle administrative tasks to support multi-location restaurant operations
  • Provide daily progress reports and participate in weekly strategy check-ins
  • Collaborate on ad hoction and computer setup for remote work
  • Bonus: Experience in food or restaurant marketing and/or video editing skills
  • Familiarity with Australian market trends and social media preferences is highly preferred creative projects and marketing campaigns
 
Requirements
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (Photoshop, Canva, or similar) for social media content creation
  • Experience with photo editing and applying graphic overlays to product photography
  • Strong understanding of Instagram best practices and food industry social media trends
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Reliable internet connection and computer setup for remote work
 
Bonus:
  • Experience in food or restaurant marketing and/or video editing skills
  • Familiarity with Australian market trends and social media preferences is highly preferred

 

Side Note:
This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on performance during the application process.
