Job Description:

You’ll be the financial backbone for a thriving six-location bakery business, transforming daily invoice chaos into organized, actionable insights that drive smart business decisions. This isn’t just data entry – you’ll own the entire accounts payable process, ensuring each location’s financial performance is tracked, analyzed, and optimized. Starting part-time with strong growth potential, you’ll work directly with a supportive business owner who understands the importance of getting the details right.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process 10-20+ daily supplier invoices across six bakery locations with precision and speed
  • Enter bills into the Xero accounting system with accurate job coding for location-specific profit and loss reporting
  • Generate comprehensive weekly creditors reports and highlight overdue payments for management review
  • Coordinate payment approvals with the business owner and prepare selected invoices for efficient processing
  • Create and manage ABA files for seamless bank upload and payment execution
  • Maintain organized accounts payable workflows that support multi-location financial analysis
  • Provide regular status updates and communicate payment priorities to business leadership
  • Support month-end processes and contribute to financial reporting accuracy

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with a strong focus on accounts payable
  • Proficiency with Xero accounting software (essential for day-one productivity)
  • Experience managing financial processes for multi-location or multi-entity businesses
  • Exceptional attention to detail for high-volume invoice processing environments
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks effectively
  • Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for remote collaboration
  • Bonus if you have experience with ABA file creation and bank payment systems
  • It helps if you’re available during Australian morning hours for optimal collaboration
