Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Lead Generation & Appointment Setting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying high-quality leads through strategic outbound outreach, booking discovery calls, and identifying prospects with strong marketing readiness and growth potential. Working within the EST timezone, you will conduct personalized outreach via phone and company-branded email campaigns, follow structured follow-up cadences, and maintain accurate records in HubSpot CRM.

Schedule: Full-time (35 hours/week) Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm EST

Core Objective
Generate and qualify high-quality leads by conducting strategic outreach, booking discovery calls, and identifying qualified prospects based on marketing readiness and growth potential.

Responsibilities
Generate new leads based on provided target audience guidelines and criteria
Conduct initial outreach to prospects via phone calls and email campaigns
Book discovery calls and appointments with qualified prospects
Follow up with leads through structured email sequences and call cadences
Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions in HubSpot CRM
Execute outreach campaigns using company-branded email communications
Provide feedback on lead quality and suggest process improvements
Handle initial prospect objections and qualify leads before booking appointments

Digital Marketing–Driven Responsibilities
Personalize outreach based on a prospect’s current marketing activity
Research and analyze a company’s existing paid media and online presence before contacting them
Speak confidently about paid media strategy and performance metrics
Identify potential marketing gaps during initial conversations
Qualify prospects based on ad spend, marketing goals, and growth intent

Requirements
Previous experience in appointment setting, lead generation, or similar sales support roles
Strong communication skills for phone and email outreach
Ability to handle rejection and maintain persistence in follow-up activities
Experience working with CRM systems (HubSpot experience preferred)
Professional phone manner and ability to represent the company effectively
Comfortable with both inbound and outbound lead generation activities
Ability to work independently and follow provided scripts and guidelines

Digital Marketing Knowledge (Required)
Candidates must demonstrate working knowledge of:

  • Google Ads (campaign structure, keywords, CPC, conversions, ROAS)
  • Meta Ads (campaign objectives, retargeting, lead generation vs. conversion campaigns)
  • SEO fundamentals (on-page SEO, local SEO, ranking factors)
  • Email marketing and automation concepts
  • Marketing KPIs (CTR, CPM, CPL, CAC, ROAS)
  • Ability to research and evaluate a company’s current marketing efforts prior to outreach

Screening Requirement (Mandatory)
Applicants must answer the following questions in their application:

  • Explain the difference between CPC and CPM.
  • What would you look for on a company’s website before reaching out?
  • What questions would you ask a marketing director to qualify them for a paid media conversation?

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
