Role Overview:
We are a rapidly growing insurance agency seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our finance team. As our volume of business increases, we need a dedicated professional to own the commission reconciliation process.
This role is not a generalist position; it is a specialized accounting role focused on the "Revenue" side of our ledger. You will work closely with our Finance Manager to manage the daily flow of receivables and payables, specifically ensuring that carrier commissions are accurately reconciled against policies and that team bonuses are calculated with 100% precision.

Key Responsibilities
- Commission Reconciliation: Solely focus on processing incoming carrier commissions and reconciling them against active policies.
- Accounting Seed Management: Perform daily data entry, tagging, and reconciliation within Accounting Seed (via Salesforce) to maintain an airtight ledger.
- Revenue Recognition: Audit policy-level data to ensure the agency is recognizing the correct revenue amounts per carrier guidelines.
- Bonus Administration: Calculate and process staff bonuses based on verified commission data, ensuring accuracy in team compensation.
- Capacity Support: Work hand-in-hand with the Finance Manager to manage monthly financials, mitigating bottlenecks in receivables and payables.
Required Skills & Experience
- Technical Mastery (Mandatory): Direct, hands-on experience using Salesforce and Accounting Seed. Candidates without experience in these specific platforms will not be considered.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in the Insurance industry is highly preferred, specifically regarding carrier commission structures.
- Accounting Background: Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong grasp of Accounts Receivable (AR) and revenue recognition principles.
- Analytical Precision: Exceptional attention to detail; ability to solve complex discrepancies between carrier statements and internal records.
- Proactive Communication: High-energy and professional demeanor with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
