Job Description: You’ll take ownership of critical accounting functions that directly support business growth and profitability analysis. Working alongside an experienced controller, you’ll contribute to financial strategy while managing day-to-day accounting operations. Responsibilities:
- Oversee QuickBooks Online operations for comprehensive financial management and reporting
- Execute detailed data entry, journal entries, and maintain accurate accounting records
- Develop Excel-based financial analysis and job cost allocation systems for profitability tracking
- Support strategic financial reporting and analysis to drive business decision-making
- Collaborate with controller on month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial processes
- Assist with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational efficiency
- Contribute to process improvements and system optimization as the company scales
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of accounting experience with progressive responsibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online with comprehensive accounting system experience
- Strong Excel skills for financial analysis, reporting, and data management
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial standards, and best practices
- Experience with job costing and profitability analysis strongly preferred
- References from your last two employers required
- Excellent English communication skills for effective team collaboration
- Bonus if you have experience in home services, construction, or project-based accounting
