Job Description: You’ll take ownership of critical accounting functions that directly support business growth and profitability analysis. Working alongside an experienced controller, you’ll contribute to financial strategy while managing day-to-day accounting operations. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee QuickBooks Online operations for comprehensive financial management and reporting
  • Execute detailed data entry, journal entries, and maintain accurate accounting records
  • Develop Excel-based financial analysis and job cost allocation systems for profitability tracking
  • Support strategic financial reporting and analysis to drive business decision-making
  • Collaborate with controller on month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial processes
  • Assist with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational efficiency
  • Contribute to process improvements and system optimization as the company scales

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience with progressive responsibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online with comprehensive accounting system experience
  • Strong Excel skills for financial analysis, reporting, and data management
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial standards, and best practices
  • Experience with job costing and profitability analysis strongly preferred
  • References from your last two employers required
  • Excellent English communication skills for effective team collaboration
  • Bonus if you have experience in home services, construction, or project-based accounting
  • It helps if you’ve worked in acquisition environments or high-growth companies
