Job Overview
We are seeking a driven and experienced B2B Sales Team Lead to build and scale our wholesale sales operation from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in ownership, strategy, and closing.
You will work closely with company leadership to design and implement a wholesale sales system, personally manage outreach to retail buyers, develop long-term client relationships, and close B2B deals with Canadian and U.S. buyers. This is not a lead-generation or appointment-setting role — proven B2B closing experience is essential.
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week); 9 AM–5 PM EST

Key Responsibilities:
Wholesale Sales & Business Development
- Build and structure a wholesale B2B sales system from scratch, with direct support from company leadership
- Identify, prospect, and outreach to retail buyers, distributors, and wholesale partners
- Conduct discovery calls, product presentations, pricing discussions, and negotiations
- Own the full sales cycle from first contact through deal close and onboarding
- Develop and manage a pipeline of active wholesale opportunities
- Close new wholesale accounts and grow existing ones
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for wholesale clients
- Build long-term relationships with buyers across Canada and the U.S.
- Manage follow-ups, reorders, upsells, and ongoing account growth
- Maintain accurate sales activity and deal tracking in CRM or sales tools
Sales Leadership & Process Development
- Establish repeatable sales workflows, scripts, outreach sequences, and follow-up processes
- Help define pricing strategies, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and wholesale terms
- Track KPIs such as outreach volume, conversion rates, deal value, and revenue
- Contribute to hiring, training, and mentoring future wholesale sales reps as the team scales
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven B2B closing experience (mandatory) — must have closed deals directly with business buyers
- Strong experience selling via phone, email, and virtual meetings
- Clear, confident English communication (verbal and written) — role involves frequent calls with Canadian and American buyers
- Ability to build sales processes and systems, not just execute pre-existing ones
- Strong negotiation, objection-handling, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Experience in wholesale, e-commerce, or consumer products
- Familiarity with retail buyers, distributors, or multi-location accounts
- Experience scaling or leading a sales function or small sales team
- CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, or similar)
