Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Transportation Dispatcher to serve as the central communication hub for life-changing transportation services. This role involves coordinating between clients, professional drivers, and healthcare facilities to ensure seamless and reliable medical transportation.
The ideal candidate combines strong customer service skills with operational coordination, providing critical support to clients, many of whom are elderly or have health conditions, while gaining valuable experience in logistics, healthcare support, and client relations.
Job Highlights
Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST (1-hour unpaid break)

Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls from clients requesting medical transportation services with empathy and professionalism
- Make outbound calls to coordinate transportation logistics and ensure seamless service delivery
- Serve as primary dispatcher coordinating between clients, drivers, and healthcare facilities
- Communicate effectively with elderly clients who have various health conditions, providing compassionate support
- Perform data entry tasks, including entering driver arrival and departure times from multiple locations
- Transfer driver-submitted time and location data to broker portal systems for accurate record-keeping
- Coordinate transportation schedules and relay critical information between clients and drivers
- Manage higher call volumes during peak morning hours starting around 7:00 AM
Requirements
- Strong communication skills for speaking with elderly clients and healthcare-related coordination
- Ability to handle both inbound and outbound phone calls with patience and professionalism
- Basic computer skills for data entry and portal management
- Experience in customer service, dispatch, or transportation coordination preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Compassionate approach when dealing with clients who have health issues
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) for occasional client interactions (required)
Side Note
Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
