We’re looking for a proactive Business Development & Marketing professional to drive growth, enhance client relationships, and elevate our brand presence. You’ll manage everything from strategic BD initiatives and high-profile events to multi-channel marketing campaigns and CRM development, working closely with partners and fee earners. Responsibilities:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Working with the partners and other fee earners to develop strategies to identify new opportunities by conducting research on potential clients, industries and markets.

Analyze industry trends to open up new opportunities.

Preparing and delivering pitches and presentation materials, collaborating with internalstakeholders aligning with the firm’s requirements.
BD TRIPS
Providing a seamless and efficient service to the Partners and Fee Earners when attending international and national conferences, seminars, and BD trips:
-
Ensuring the firm’s spreadsheet of international BD trips is kept updated

Collaborating with the Fee Earner in advance of each trip
-
Undertaking the required follow-up after each trip.
INTERNAL BD MEETINGS
-
Responsibility for, and chairing the firm’s BD meetings with internal stakeholders.

Preparation and distribution of minutes reporting on key actions
UK EVENTS
-
Managing internal and external events processes, including venue selection and booking; negotiating on packages; collaboration with event organisers.

Attending BD events as and when required to ensure they run smoothly (possible breakfast events and after-work events).

Required follow-up tasks, feedback and reporting after each event.
MARKETING
-
Execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, from inception through project planning to delivery, measurement, and evaluation.

Develop the firm’s marketing technology including its CRM

Responsibility for the firm’s website.
-
Copy-editing including writing, reviewing and editing content for various marketing channels.
-
Taking a lead on the management of the firms’ social media channels.
-
Briefing external agencies to produce high-quality creative campaigns that ensure the application of the firm’s brand guidelines and delivery of projects to deadline.

Coordinating articles from across the firm ensuring that they are promoted in a timely way.

Oversee all legal directories and awards submissions.

Setting up and providing regular reporting on the performance of campaigns, social media, website, and other channels.

Developing and managing in-house marketing training and inductions.
GENERAL

Pro-actively identifying areas for external promotion eg. PR and branding opportunities,events.

Maintaining relationships with event vendors, suppliers, and event managementcompanies.

Measuring and providing analysis on success of events.

Ensuring cost-effectiveness in ordering equipment and with event and trip budgets.

Continuing professional development and keeping up-to-date of marketing and BD initiatives.
Requirements:
-
Experience of working in a law firm (preferably a boutique-sized firm) or similar professional services environment such as a barrister’s chambers.

Possess excellent presentation and negotiation skills and have a proven ability to build effective working relationships.

Excellent organisation skills with high levels of accuracy.

Team player who will be comfortable working in a small and highly performing collaborative and interactive team.

Strong use of English language, written communication and editing skills and the ability to write accurate, concise, and persuasive text.

Obtained a marketing/BD qualification, degree, diploma or equivalent certificate, with a minimum level 3.
-
Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office 365 – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and good working knowledge of Document Management Systems (preferably NetDocs) and CRM systems (preferably Nimble).
