Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist to manage and optimize email and SMS marketing systems. This role focuses on building high-converting automations, customer journeys, and segmentation strategies that turn user behavior into measurable revenue. The specialist will work primarily inside Klaviyo and Mailchimp, ensuring campaigns, flows, and cross-channel messaging are aligned with growth goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, test, and optimize automated email flows (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back, retention)
- Manage and deploy email campaigns in Klaviyo and/or Mailchimp
- Create audience segmentation and personalization strategies based on customer behavior
- Develop and manage SMS campaigns and automated SMS triggers connected to email flows
- Set up lifecycle marketing journeys from lead to repeat customer
- Conduct A/B testing to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions
- Maintain email/SMS list hygiene, tags, and database accuracy
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance and revenue impact
Requirements
- With hands-on experience in email marketing and automation
- Strong experience with Klaviyo and/or Mailchimp
- Experience building automated flows, segmentation logic, and behavior-based triggers
- Familiarity with SMS marketing platforms integrated with email systems
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms, especially Shopify
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign data and optimize performance
