Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse residential building projects, from new builds to renovations, using industry-standard software. You’ll create detailed architectural documentation and cabinetry drawings while working directly with an experienced design team. The role offers a perfect balance of technical drafting expertise and creative residential design work, with potential to grow from part-time to full-time as the business expands. You’ll contribute to high-quality residential designs that make a tangible impact on people’s homes and lives.

Responsibilities

• Import IFC or CAD files provided by architects into the Revit design template for project initiation

• Model areas requiring cabinetry such as kitchens, pantries, TV units, wet areas, laundries, robes, and storage spaces

• Develop internal floor plans with detailed cabinetry layouts and accurate technical specifications

• Produce internal elevations with joinery, tiling, plumbing fixtures, and finishes

• Create 3D perspective views using Enscape integrated with Revit for visual presentation

• Build and maintain basic house models in Revit to support cabinetry and component insertion

• Prepare complete drawing sheets for client or council submission, including title blocks and view templates

• Manage design revisions as required throughout the project lifecycle

• Occasionally draft electrical plans and general floor plans as needed for project coordination

• Work with Revit family components for precise placement of cabinetry elements, sinks, drawers, appliances, etc.

• Maintain high quality standards and attention to detail across all technical and visual documentation

• Collaborate closely with the internal design team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication

• Ensure deadlines are consistently met and contribute positively to teamwork and project flow

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional drafting experience in residential or commercial projects

• Proven experience in Revit, specifically drafting residential and joinery plans

• Proficiency in Enscape for 3D rendering and design presentation

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD for technical drawing and documentation

• Demonstrated experience in cabinetry modeling and detailing across multiple residential zones

• Familiarity with importing and utilizing IFC/CAD files in Revit workflow

• Proven experience producing internal elevations, joinery detailing, and technical specifications

• Excellent English communication skills for direct client and team interaction

• Proficiency with Google Suite for collaboration, file sharing, and task management

• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and commitment to delivering precise, high-quality work

• Strong commitment to deadlines and teamwork

• This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
