Job Description:
You’ll be the organizational backbone for a thriving dual-business operation, taking ownership of property management tasks and construction administration that directly impact revenue and growth. This role offers the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both real estate and construction while helping build scalable systems from the ground up. You’ll work directly with the business owner to transform scattered processes into efficient workflows, making a meaningful impact on day-one.
Responsibilities:
- Manage lease tracking, rent collection monitoring, and tenant communications using RentTech Direct software
- Send timely notices for late payments, lease renewals, and property management requirements across 17 rental units
- Monitor and organize repair tickets, coordinating with contractors and vendors for property maintenance
- Support construction project operations using BuilderTrend CRM, updating project information and managing workflows
- Handle phone calls for rental inquiries and potential contracting leads, serving as the professional voice of the business
- Create and post rental property listings and marketing materials when units become available
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for both property management and contracting processes
- Assist with scheduling and project coordination for active construction jobs
- Provide strategic input on software selection and process improvements
- Coordinate with existing subcontractors and vendors to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in property management or real estate administration
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks across different business areas
- Comfortable making and receiving phone calls with prospects, tenants, and vendors
- Proficiency in documenting processes and creating standard operating procedures
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable internet connection and professional phone manner
- Bonus if you have experience with property management software (RentTech Direct a plus)
- It helps if you’re familiar with construction or contracting CRM systems (BuilderTrend knowledge beneficial)
