Job Overview: You’ll take ownership of the complete bookkeeping function for a professional accounting firm, managing financial records across multiple business entities with full independence. This role offers the perfect opportunity to apply your Xero expertise in a structured environment where accuracy and monthly reconciliation are paramount. You’ll work directly with a holding company and subsidiary structure, ensuring consolidated reporting meets professional standards while maintaining the flexibility to manage your own workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage comprehensive bookkeeping for holding company and subsidiary entities
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of all accounts and financial transactions
  • Consolidate financial statements across multiple business entities
  • Maintain accurate and timely recording of all revenue and expense transactions
  • Ensure proper classification and coding of transactions within Xero
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliation summaries
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial instruments
  • Support month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation

Requirements:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Xero accounting software
  • Strong foundation in bookkeeping principles and monthly reconciliation processes
  • Experience working with multi-entity business structures (parent/subsidiary relationships)
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Bonus if you have experience with financial statement consolidation
  • It helps if you have previous experience supporting professional services firms
