Job Overview: You’ll take ownership of the complete bookkeeping function for a professional accounting firm, managing financial records across multiple business entities with full independence. This role offers the perfect opportunity to apply your Xero expertise in a structured environment where accuracy and monthly reconciliation are paramount. You’ll work directly with a holding company and subsidiary structure, ensuring consolidated reporting meets professional standards while maintaining the flexibility to manage your own workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Manage comprehensive bookkeeping for holding company and subsidiary entities
- Perform monthly reconciliation of all accounts and financial transactions
- Consolidate financial statements across multiple business entities
- Maintain accurate and timely recording of all revenue and expense transactions
- Ensure proper classification and coding of transactions within Xero
- Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliation summaries
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial instruments
- Support month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation
Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Xero accounting software
- Strong foundation in bookkeeping principles and monthly reconciliation processes
- Experience working with multi-entity business structures (parent/subsidiary relationships)
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Bonus if you have experience with financial statement consolidation
