Social Media Marketing Assistant

Schedule:

  • 1pm to 5 pm New Zealand

  • 20 hours per week

  • Initial 3-month intensive growth period with potential for ongoing work

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn platforms
  • Set up and optimize LinkedIn profiles for both business founders
  • Edit and create engaging social media content from provided images, text, and videos
  • Develop and implement targeted demographic outreach campaigns focusing on specific age groups, income levels, and geographic locations in Australia and New Zealand
  • Monitor and report on Google Analytics data to track website traffic and campaign effectiveness
  • Manage MailerLite newsletter campaigns including content creation, subscriber management, and troubleshooting
  • Research and identify marketing opportunities including podcast appearances and travel magazine features
  • Develop community engagement strategies to increase brand awareness and audience growth
  • Provide weekly or monthly performance reports with actionable insights

 

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in social media marketing and virtual assistance
  • Proven experience with Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn marketing
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and email marketing platforms (MailerLite experience preferred)
  • Strong content creation and editing skills for social media posts
  • Experience with demographic targeting and social media campaigns
  • Research skills for identifying marketing opportunities and industry connections
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and provide strategic recommendations

 

Scope:

  • Part-time position at 20 hours per week
