Supply Chain Planner – Service Parts & Technician Support

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Planner to support field technicians through accurate and efficient service parts management. This role is heavily focused on Service Parts Technician Support and requires strong experience in supply chain administration, inventory coordination, and cross-functional communication. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and skilled at resolving parts-related issues that may impact service delivery.


Job Highlights

Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST (with 30-minute unpaid break)
Work Arrangement: Work from home

Responsibilities

Service Parts Technician Support (40%)

  • Work closely with field technicians to maintain accurate truck inventory by investigating and resolving parts discrepancies

  • Coordinate the shipping, transferring, and receiving of service parts

  • Investigate and resolve parts marked as “in transit” to ensure timely availability

Service Ticket Processing – Parts Fulfillment (40%)

  • Review service tickets requiring parts and determine fulfillment plans based on warehouse or field inventory

  • Execute administrative tasks related to procuring, transferring, and shipping parts

  • Ensure service orders are completed accurately and within required timelines

Purchase Order Creation & Submission (10%)

  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm parts availability, expedite orders, and escalate supply chain delays when needed

  • Create and submit purchase orders for 02 stock, including vendors such as Henny Penny, Franke, and Taylor

Technician Replenishments (2%)

  • Print critical parts replenishment reports

  • Manage Preventive Maintenance (PM) kit replenishments and reallocate inventory as needed

RMA & Parts Returns (2%)

  • Handle administrative tasks related to returning incorrect, damaged, or unused parts

  • Track returned items and ensure supplier credits are received and properly recorded

Purchase Order Cleanup (2%)

  • Investigate aged or outdated purchase orders to identify root causes such as backorders, cancellations, or system errors

  • Take corrective action to resolve and close incorrect or outdated POs

Parts Investigation Support (2%)

  • Review service tasks placed in “Parts Investigation” status

  • Complete required parts transfers, inventory adjustments, or corrections

Other Duties (2%)

  • Perform additional supply chain and administrative tasks as required to support operations


Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in supply chain administration, inventory management, or parts coordination

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support and collaborate with field technicians

  • Experience processing service tickets, purchase orders, and inventory transfers

  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and investigative skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting service technicians or field service operations

  • Familiarity with inventory management or ERP systems

  • Experience coordinating with suppliers and managing parts logistics

  • Strong administrative and documentation skills


Side Note

Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
