After-Hours Healthcare Staffing Coordinator

Schedule: 
  • Five days per week, Monday to Sunday, with two days off. Days off may vary month to month based on business needs.
  • 3:00 pm to 12:00 am — with potential extension to 5:00 AM – 1:30 AM
  • 40 hours per week
  • Client time zone: Australian Eastern Time (New South Wales)

This after-hours role is essential to healthcare operations. You will be the key connection between facilities with urgent staffing needs and a network of nurses and care workers ready to step in. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll make quick decisions that directly support patient care and ensure healthcare operations remain uninterrupted.
 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to urgent calls and emails from hospitals and aged care facilities.

  • Match registered nurses and personal care workers to open shifts quickly.

  • Communicate confidently with facility managers, providing updates on coverage.

  • Navigate multiple client systems and internal CRM/ATS platforms with precision.

  • Coordinate with onshore account managers and maintain clear communication with nursing staff.

  • Monitor staff schedules and rosters for hundreds of facilities.

  • Handle inquiries and redirect communications as needed.

  • Maintain accuracy while working across multiple systems simultaneously.

  • Ensure reliable coverage during critical after-hours periods.

 

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in coordination, customer service, or similar client-facing roles.

  • Strong communication skills and confidence in speaking with healthcare professionals.

  • Ability to stay calm and assertive under pressure and urgent situations.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proven reliability and strong work ethic.

  • Comfortable using multiple software systems simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently during after-hours shifts with minimal supervision.

  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as part of a near 24/7 operations team.
