Overview
We are looking for a Tax Data Entry Specialist to accurately input client information and tax forms into Intuit Pro Series software. This role supports the tax preparation process by ensuring data is entered correctly, reviewed thoroughly, and compliant with company standards.
Job Highlights
Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 20 hours per week, 5 hours per day
Schedule: This is a project-based role. Start date is February 1 to March 15.
Monday to Thursday, Flexible between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Maine time EST.
Work Arrangement: Work from home

Responsibilities

Perform accurate data entry of client information and tax forms into Intuit Pro Series software

Handle common tax forms including W-2, 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-B, 1099-R, and 1098

Maintain accurate records of client income and expenses

Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and manage financial data efficiently

Ensure all client data is entered correctly, reviewed thoroughly, and compliant with company standards

Support the tax preparation process by providing timely and precise data entry
Requirements

Experience with tax data entry and manual entry (Intuit Pro Series software experience highly preferred)

Familiarity with common tax forms: W-2, 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-B, 1099-R, and 1098

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and managing income and expense data

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills

Must have a dual-monitor workstation setup

Side Note
Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an Independent Contractor, the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
