Legal Editor

We’re looking for a Legal Editor (Quality Assurance) to work closely with our Case Management team,
ensuring expert witness reports are clear, well-structured, and court-ready. In this role, you’ll also partner
with our Marketing team to create compelling blogs, case studies, and articles that showcase the breadth
and impact of the cases we handle.
Key responsibilities
 Ensure expert witness reports are polished, professional, and ready for legal submission by
reviewing for accuracy, coherence, and responsiveness to lawyer instructions.
 Create relationships with experts to guide them through writing reports.
 Strengthen the quality of expert reasoning and communication by providing targeted editorial
guidance.
 Assist in expert profiling, compiling key details, dot points, and links to judgments for database
maintenance.

 Elevate written communication across teams through editorial support, training, and feedback.
 Support team efficiency and smooth operations by assisting with essential administrative duties.
 Create insightful blogs, case studies, and contents that highlight the diversity of cases.
 Contribute to internal and external newsletters, ensuring content aligns with company messaging.
 Support the delivery of consistent brand messaging by collaborating with the Marketing team on
weekly and ad-hoc content.
 Conduct legal and value-adding research using resources such as Jade, AustLII, and Mondaq,
identifying insights that support expert reports and content initiatives.
 Monitor legal news alerts and suggest timely LinkedIn articles or blurbs based on these updates.
 Draft high-quality articles and posts for publication, subject to review and approval.
Skills & Attributes
 Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Law, or related field (or equivalent
experience).
 3–5 years’ editing or proofreading experience, ideally in legal, academic, or technical fields.
 Strong command of English with excellent writing, editing, and comprehension skills.
 Experience writing or editing legal content (e.g., articles, blogs, case notes on Jade, AustLII, or
Mondaq) is an advantage.
 Skilled communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with experts and colleagues.
 Strong attention to detail with sound editorial judgment in grammar and syntax, and the ability to
identify and escalate concerns.
 Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with digital tools.
 Legal background preferred but not required; adaptable and willing to take on additional
responsibilities when needed.
