Job Description:
You’ll play a crucial role in supporting client operations and maintaining financial accuracy for a respected Canadian accounting firm. This is your opportunity to work directly with Canadian business clients, handling their day-to-day bookkeeping needs while building expertise in Canadian accounting practices. Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks and Sage 50 accounting software
- Respond to client inquiries via email with accurate, factual information
- Manage day-to-day financial data entry and account reconciliation for assigned client accounts
- Handle client communication professionally while maintaining attention to detail
- Collaborate with the team during overlapping hours for guidance and support
- Access and utilize project management systems to track client work
- Maintain accuracy in all financial data and reporting
- Support client account management with timely responses and follow-up
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with Canadian businesses
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (essential requirement)
- Experience with Sage 50 accounting software
- Excellent English communication skills for professional client interaction
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
- Ability to work independently while being part of a remote team
- Bonus if you have experience with project management systems
