Job Description:
You’ll become the financial backbone for a thriving consulting practice, taking ownership of comprehensive bookkeeping operations across multiple nonprofit and insurance clients. This role offers the perfect blend of specialized financial work and administrative support, allowing you to make a real difference while working with a business manager who values work-life balance and professional partnership. You’ll help streamline operations that currently keep the team working late nights, bringing efficiency and expertise to organizations that matter.
Responsibilities:
- Own comprehensive QuickBooks bookkeeping for nonprofit organizations and insurance trusts
- Record and categorize transactions from Bill.com payments and various financial platforms
- Handle revenue recording, bank deposits, and financial data entry with precision
- Lead transition from cash basis to accrual basis accounting for designated insurance clients
- Process payroll and manage related bookkeeping functions across multiple entities
- Provide strategic administrative support to enhance overall operational efficiency
- Maintain accurate financial records ensuring compliance and proper reporting standards
- Collaborate with existing team members and provide backup support for tracking functions
Requirements:
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally with US-based clients
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks with demonstrated expertise in financial recording and data management
- Experience with accrual basis accounting methods is essential
- Payroll processing experience is required
- Excellent English communication skills for regular client interaction
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with reliable internet is a must-have.
- Bonus if you have experience with Bill.com or similar payment processing platforms, and it helps if you’ve worked with nonprofit organizations or insurance/trust entities before.
