Google Ads & E-commerce Marketing Specialist

Are you a data-driven Google Ads specialist with a passion for e-commerce performance marketing? We’re looking for a motivated junior to mid-level Google Ads professional to join our growing agency and work directly with the owner on managing and scaling e-commerce campaigns for New Zealand–based brands.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of Google Ads accounts end to end—from setup and daily optimization through to performance reporting and strategic adjustments. You’ll work heavily with Google Merchant Center and product feeds, ensuring shopping campaigns are fully optimized to drive real revenue results, not just clicks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Google ads campaigns including setup, monitoring, and optimization

  • Conduct daily account maintenance including keyword management, location targeting, and ad performance monitoring

  • Generate weekly and ongoing reports on campaign performance and conversions
  • Handle Google Merchant Center management and product feed optimization for e-commerce clients
  • Make strategic account adjustments based on client focus areas and priorities
  • Support website content updates and general admin tasks
  • Assist with client proposals and business development materials
  • Draft social media content and create ads (background preparation work)
  • Utilize Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for conversion tracking and data analysis

 

Requirements:

  • Strong Google Ads experience with focus on e-commerce (not just lead generation)
  • Experience with Google Merchant Center and product feed management
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Familiarity with Shopify and WooCommerce platforms
  • Experience with reporting tools (Dash This or similar platforms)
  • Junior to mid-level experience (2+ years preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts

 

Scope:

  • 20 hours per week with potential to expand to full-time
  • Direct collaboration with agency owner on strategy and client management
  • Focus primarily on Google Ads with potential expansion into other marketing channels
  • Client portfolio consists primarily of e-commerce businesses in New Zealand market
